A
subset of media viewers who take great personal
pleasure out of discovering and revealing
continuity errors.
While the skills used in the detection process are often highly-valued by production companies, there is little benefit to the audience or movie studio when a continuity fascist draws attention to an on-screen slipup after the fact.
Most continuity fascists also take great pains to explain the causal factors involved in a continuity error, frequently to the dismay of those within earshot.
