In a bureaucracy, this is the term that is used in place of words like "pass out" or "distribute."

The sole purpose of using this word is create some pretense of importance.

example-
"Since this memo is of the upmost importance, please desseminate it to all stakeholders as soon as possible and create an appropriate feedback loop."

Since the directives of large organizations are often ignored and even more often contradicted by the new directive (a week later0 some cynical people call memos that include these types of terms as

artificial dessemination
