In Ackanomic this word appeared as a typo for drink, and it somehow became the standard in-game word for drink. The other source may have started the same way, along the lines of hing, grilf, newsfroup, and the like.

fried = F = friode

frink /frink/ v.

The unknown ur-verb, fill in your own meaning. Found esp. on the Usenet newsgroup alt.fan.lemurs, where it is said that the lemurs know what `frink' means, but they aren't telling. Compare gorets.
