Hassling is generally defined as giving someone a hard time. This activity is usually performed by
police officers,
parents and other people who want to
control your actions, but anyone can give someone a hassle. The most effective method of hassling is done with a prop of some kind, such as a
pistol or a
pointy stick. Only
professionals should attempt to hassle using only the target's fear of punishment to ensure success. It is generally agreed that being hassled is sufficient cause for
retaliation, if one can
get away with it.
