An Irish traditional session is not complete without a group of punters. They listen and enjoy the subtleties of the music. They know what is good and what is not, and they let the musicians know what they think. It takes practice and dedication to become a good punter.

It is a dirty job - you must spend hours in smokey pubs - but the reward is that you are truly a part of the music. What good is it if nobody is listening?
