A shiv is an easily concealable homemade knife that closely resembles an icepick. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a really mafia oriented knife. In fact, there is nothing that screams Mafia like pulling an icepick on someone. Well, actaully the person you maul with said knife would probably scream it louder, but that depends on the person.
