'Talkstory' is a translation of an Asian term for the practice of relating anecdotes about personal experience using mythic language and image. In earlier Asian cultures, talkstory merged daily life with mythic reality instead of segregating "The Real World" from the spiritual. In some Native American tribes, an equivalent to talkstory would bring a mythic or spiritual perspective to mundane conundrums - sometimes, talkstory was sign of shaman potential.
