  1. "a drop of the saline, watery fluid continually secreted by the lacrimal glands between the surface of the eye and the eyelid, serving to moisten and lubricate these parts and keep them clear of foreign particles" (Random House College Dictionary).
  2. The shape of a teardrop, "having a globular form at the bottom, tapering to a point at the top" (RHCD). The way those blasted Precious Moments figurines' eyelids fold over their eyes suggests the shape of a teardrop.
  3. A type of denial of service attack that creates an invalid fragmented packet that causes less robust TCP/IP stacks to leak kernel memory. Often used in conjunction with a SYN attack.
