Beneath those heavy waves
clashing against all of our shores
the sand has the touch of obsidian
and the sky has long since
turned blood red
This place is dying, slowly
I don't know how much longer
so much time has already
washed over me
Beneath those heavy waves
somewhere on the bottom
of me lies a heavy heart
I walk the shores cutting my
porcelain skin on the sharp sand
I'm fine here, thank you very much
Somehow, somewhere, I always come back
up from the depths and regrow my wings
Every time is a new dawn, a new life
The sun is growing beyond her means
and my heavy heart is beating less
one day soon
I will no longer walk here
