I am a semi-fled user. I still exist, but no longer have the hours of free time needed to truly be an effective part of E2. Thanks for all the fish, I'll pop in now and then, but probably won't ever be a part of the culture again.

The metaphor of site-as-city is one I've run across before. It's a pretty good analogy, and applicable, although I think of E2 as more of a huge open air market where info's the commodity and personal reputation is the currency.
