A
folk lore monster.
Local to Northern
New Jersey, this
Yeti-like creature is usually described as being 6-8 feet tall, covered in dark
shaggy fur, and vaguely
human like. The most common detail (and the one its named for) is the large red eye(s) that it sports (whether its one
eye or two varies). It is not particularly known for
violence or
destruction, instead it causes
noise pollution and loss of
sleep. Nights when sightings occur are usually associated with wild
howling which can
continue for hours on end. It also just plain scares the
bejesus out of people it runs into.
