Abbie Hoffman,
Jerry Rubin,
David Dellinger, Lee Weiner, John Froines,
Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis. They were accused of starting the
riots surrounding the 1968
Democratic Convention, though, arguably, Mayor Daley was the real culprit. Their foe was
The Man incarnate, Judge Julius Hoffman. Five were convicted; the verdicts were overturned in
1972.
