This is a good album. It's not an amazing album, and it doesn't blow you away, but you will definately listen to it more than once.
1995's Rubberneck was a better album, but fans of that won't be disappointed. The band here stays faithful to its roots; Rubberneck was hard, but HB/SA is harder. The Toadies move further out from their mid-nineties hard rock sound, out into deeper waters - the album's sound is dark and heavy, with heavy metal riffs and Todd Lewis's distinctive agonized wails.
Standout tracks: What We Have We Steal, Little Sin, and Hell Below/Stars Above.
