not only is this
a worthwhile sentiment to follow, it is also a ridiculous song
my mother and aunts used to sing with us on
road trips and other such captive occasions.
sung slowly and sweetly, with a proper air:
Don't ever throw stones at your mother.
It isn't the right thing to do.
Don't ever throw stones at your mother.
She never threw them at you.
Remember that she is a lady,
and think of the life she has led.
Don't ever throw stones at your mother....
and now adopt an obnoxious tone:
Throw rocks at your old man instead!
I think this kind of dates those who taught us this. Its somewhat of a
period piece, if you ask me.
