--OutpostMir-- was established in summer 2000 as an online retreat for one young man living in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He initially dove into the process of noding with an immature mindset, not realizing the truth that Everything2 is not a video game.

Operations were indefinitely suspended in early 2001, with a brief reappearance in 2002. Mir contacted The Management for a request to bring down his account, but this request was denied and the account left to lie dormant for the next five years. The user went on with his life, graduated from high school in 2003, and went on to pursue a degree in art education at Middle Tennessee State University that fall.

Mir was reactivated 19 June, 2007, and has been operating at full capacity ever since. You have been warned.
