I have but a few things to mention:
The Spanish-American War: Boy were we dumbasses back then. A whole war just because some ship exploded and they thought it was the Spanish. Then, in the 1970's, what do they find but, omigosh!, The explosion was internal.
Democracy: I love the idea, but it takes just too damn long to do anything.
