The Lord of the Rings
The Reunited Kingdom was the kingdom established by Arathorn II Elessar after the downfall of Sauron. It consisted of the old realms of Gondor and Arnor. The new capitals of the the Kingdom were Annúminas (maybe) and Minas Tirith. During his reign, King Elessar gave much of the land to its inhabitants, such as Buckland to the Shire and Erebor to the Dwarves there. The King of the Reunited Kingdom was lord over man smaller areas such as the Shire, Dale, and Erebor, but left the people there to rule themselves as they wished for the most part. In the year 120 of the Fourth Age, King Elessar died and was succeeded by his son Eldarion, which is one of the last events chronicled by Prof. Tolkien.
