Jim Hall is the lead programmer on the FreeDos project an open source alternative to MSDOS.
He began working on the operating system back in 1994 while he was majoring in physics at the University of Wisconsin. He currently maintains the FreeDos installation program, and writes many of the new FreeDos utilities himself. He is also active in the Linux community.
When not programming, Jim likes to travel and collect laptop computers.
He currently lives in Wisconsin with his wife Sara and their three cats (Linus, Murphy, and Vita).
