If The Kinks were the "first grunge band" (circa "You Really Got Me"),these guys were meant to be the second, courtesy the same impresario, Larry Page. It eventually worked, with a hit called "Wild Thing", a much-covered song of the era, written by Chip Taylor, Jon Voight's brother. Even better were subsequent hits: "With a Girl Like You" and "Love Is All Around" (cue the Wet Wet Wet node), pop classix. They have done the nostalgia circuit ever since.
