Yes' third studio album (1971), which introduces Steve Howe at the guitar. By far the better of the three, also much more complex. This is the album that will set the band's technique and unique sound for years to come. This music sets the band apart from the "proggressive rock" label. It's more than that, it's Yes.
Steve Howe gets a well-deserved spotlight for his debut with his guitar solo "Clap" (later corrected as "The Clap" due to a misprint). What is most striking about the music is the performers' age. Barely into their twenties these brit boys were blending classical music and rock with time signatures to make one fall off their chair! Features:
Jon Anderson- vocals
Bill Bruford- drums & percussion
Steve Howe- guitars, vocals
Tony Kaye- keyboards
Chris Squire- bass & vocals
